Your questions answered...

Here are some of the most frequently asked questions about Solent Travelcard.

Is Solent Travelcard the right ticket for me?

It depends! Most bus companies have their own daily and weekly tickets that are only valid on their services. If you are only likely to travel on one company's services, your best deal is probably to buy one of their own tickets. However, if you will be using a number of different operators then Solent Travelcard is ideal for you!

Where do I buy my Solent Travelcard?

Buy the ticket from the driver of the first bus you board. Make sure the driver seals your ticket in one of the special Solent Travelcard ticket wallets so that it will be easily recognised by other bus drivers.

Do I need photo ID?

No, anyone can buy and use Solent Travelcard so there is no need for ID.

How far can I go?

You can use your Solent Travelcard anywhere within the map shown on the home page. If you are planning to use a service that crosses the boundary, please contact the company that operates the service to check whether your journey is wholly within the Travelcard area.

Are all bus services included?

You can use your Solent Travelcard on any public bus service within the Travelcard area, except night bus services running after midnight on Friday and Saturday nights.

If you have a question that isn't answered here, please contact any of the bus companies in the area, who will be happy to help.
